The beginnings

Early in the 1990's Steven and Jay Naidoo started Marburg Motor Engineering in Servus Road, Marburg. The business began to grow and establish a clientele base that was to have set it on path of growth prosperity. However, Steven passed away tragically and the business closed for almost a year. Ricky Subramoney and Vedashan Chetty (Mannes) restarted the business. Shortly thereafter Vedashan took full ownership. The business began to prosper under Vedashan's leadership. During this time Yugan Chetty, Vedashan's brother, was called in to help on weekends and in his spare time. Yugan, a qualified mechanic, was then a mechanic for Chrysler/Jeep where he worked for seven years. Once again, the business was struck by tragedy when Vedashan passed away in a vehicle accident in September 2009. Yugan made a decision to leave his job and continue with the business so that legacy and vision of his brother would continue. He also found himself in a position where he wanted to honour the business commitments as the company had much work in progress. With his hands-on experience and qualifications to support him, Yugan has been able to grow the business and gain the respect of his many clients.
